After conducting cell culture and cloning experiments in a clean bench or biosafety cabinet, UV (ultraviolet) rays may be irradiated to sterilize microorganisms.

The following Nichiryo’s Micropipettes use UV-resistant plastic in its construction, they can be left as is in the clean bench or safety cabinet over long periods of time without the need of taking them out.

From prolonged irradiation, the surface layer of plastic may deteriorate or discolor, but its performance is not affected.

* Sterilization by UV irradiation is effective only on the part that is directly irradiated. When you want to sterilize the inside of the micropipette, select a micropipette that can be autoclaved (121° C, 20 minutes), and perform the autoclave sterilization process
